The GrainChain team was established by the founders of SiloSys, an innovative IT solution tailored for the agricultural industry. Over the past five years, we have dedicated our efforts to automate the process of measuring commodities as they enter silos and storage facilities. Our technology ensures accurate measurement, tracking, and accountability for soft commodities. IT systems like SiloSys have become increasingly popular worldwide as they eliminate the manual tasks involved in weighing and documenting agricultural yields. Our automated systems address potential inaccuracies or fraud in weight measurements and eliminate a number of dishonest schemes that previously distorted commodities prices. The advent of blockchain technology and smart contracts presented us with a unique opportunity to offer a range of services designed to support growers, governments, and agents. These stakeholders often find themselves in vulnerable positions vis-à-vis commodities brokers and bank agents. Our initiative aims to leverage these cutting-edge technologies to introduce transparency, efficiency, and fairness into the agricultural supply chain, ultimately benefiting those who contribute most to its success.
