Chief Data Officer at Qlik

BIO

The Chief Data Officer (CDO) role is complex and challenging from managing through the politics of the organization, to creating consensus where there is tension between the enterprise and lines of business, and pushing professionals out of their comfort zones to trust in new ways of working. Its no wonder there is a high failure rate in the role, but there is hope. With the emergence of Data-Ops, a growing global understanding of the value of data, and the expanding focus on data literacy, CDOs have a path forward to success. As the CDO at Qlik, I walk in our clients shoes by making sure Qlik's data processes, management and tools are aligned. This enables me to speak from experience about the best practices across a variety of data-centric topics, including data quality, data management, data governance, data strategy, and analytics. With extensive experience as a technical consultant and senior executive in the enterprise technology and analytics worlds, I bring together a mix of software, consulting and client-side knowledge to understand the unique challenges of clients. Moreover, my time spent in the banking sector has also given me broad expertise in navigating highly regulated environments. I pride myself on being a team builder by getting people to focus less on the jargon of data and analytics and more on the business challenges of their colleagues. I believe the best results are achieved when we can connect the dots and make data relevant and exciting for everyone within the business. If youd like to discuss how you can start democratizing data in your business with a modern data architecture using proper data governance processes and tools, please get in touch with me at [email protected].
