As a Product Manager and ethical user experience advocate I love putting myself in someone elses shoes experiencing what they see and feel and want and need connecting it with the data we have on 4.3M businesses and their users in our platform and carefully developing strategies with our development teams to create the best solution possible for local businesses around the globe. I lead the local-business-facing part of the Vendasta platform our product called Business App a white-label platform for helping local businesses thrive online. I am a Product person through and through. After seeing seeing Steve Jobs deliver his keynote live in person at WWDC 2009 I taught myself some Objective C and cowboy-coded my first free iPhone app Wookiee Translator. It was downloaded by some 35000 people in its first couple days on the App Store before I received a cease and desist letter from Lucasfilm lawyers for infringing on their IP. Yes a legitimate claim and I took it down. But I had the product bug immediately Ive since created and consulted on over a dozen mobile apps and hundreds of web experiences and now have the pleasure of leading a product at Vendasta alongside a team of really incredible scrappy hardworking mad scientists.
