After selling his first company for a staggering $425 million, TK took a new journey that fostered another groundbreaking innovation. Utilizing his sales and marketing prowess honed at Mitsubishi Corporation, TK ventured into establishing REVCOM in 2017. Realizing the potential of AI in enhancing sales call operations and meetings management, TK created Miitel, a service that transcends geographical barriers. His recent achievement of gaining 1,600 global customers and amassing a monthly revenue of $1.6 million marks his steady climb in the business communication industry.

$20m ARR in 2022

Launched in 2018, and hit $1m ARR in 2020

Miitel is a B2B SAAS company that provides cloud-based communication solutions for businesses. They offer services such as virtual phone systems, call center solutions, and unified communications. Miitel aims to help businesses enhance their communication capabilities and improve customer experience.

Creating A New Pathway in Business Communication

Before REVCOM, TK was heavily involved in various significant roles in Mitsubishi Corporation, ranging from automotive trading planning to cross-border investment deals. However, his penchant for establishing new ventures led him towards a new direction in 2017. July of the same year marked the launch of REVCOM, where the first semblance of Miitel and Miitel for Zoom was born.

Essentially, Miitel serves as a B2B self-coaching tool tailored to analyze, visualize sales, and share competition through artificial intelligence. This innovative venture is aimed at making strides in communication, identifying potential hiccups, and smoothing out the sales process.

Bridging The Gap: The Workings of Miitel

Venturing into the realm of artificial intelligence, Miitel offers a range of detailed analyses, from visualization of speech ratios to tracking the number of silences and interruptions. Couple this with its intricate capacity to measure the rate of character-per-second operations, Miitel provides valuable insights for businesses.

Furthermore, the platform performs emotional analysis alongside its speech analytics to gauge the conversation’s mood and environment, adding a personal touch to the device-driven platform. By a fair assertion, it can be seen as the ‘Gong for the Asia Pacific’ but with a more comprehensive and integrated approach. Unlike its counterparts, Miitel offers a one-stop service for IP phone and conversation analytics at a reasonable price of $70 per user per month.

Vision to Fruition: From Start-up to 1,600 Paying Customers

When the Miitel services launched in November 2018, it was not long before TK secured the first customers through Salesforce events. With the promise of a ‘closed beta version’ that will switch to a ‘paid customer’ after the official launch, TK successfully harnessed interest from companies.

Fast forward to the present day, REVCOM now boasts more than 1,600 companies as clients, pointing towards the successful achievement in gaining customers’ trust and delivering value. Each client pays around $140 a month per ID, including cold charge, mobile options, and storage options in the case of enterprise users.

The success story of REVCOM is not limited to Japan alone. The company has stepped into further Asian territories, including Indonesia, with plans to expand to the United States market.

The Road To RevCom’s Success

TK’s compelling journey towards creating REVCOM illustrates the influence and power of undying vision. From the point of convincing an engineer to write the original code for his idea to successfully establishing a business with over 1,600 customers, TK’s unceasing enthusiasm and logical approach have been instrumental.

His story emphasizes the importance of talent recruitment and team building in a start-up, with TK giving notable emphasis on his engineer’s key presence in the company’s foundation. From a 5,000-dollar-a-month salary and an under-five-percent stock option to creating the base of REVCOM, the engineer’s journey mirrors TK’s determination and visionary approach.

With this growth trajectory, REVCOM illustrates a classic example of paving new pathways in existing industries and leveraging technology to offer more efficient solutions for businesses.

Scaling the growth and plans for the future

Witnessing a two-fold growth in the past year, REVCOM’s journey is just beginning. The company’s growth target for this year is ambitious yet attainable, aiming to reach above the $40 million mark with the company’s revenue.

As REVCOM further expands its market to the U.S. and other Asian countries, it’s set to position itself as a prime target for companies aiming to expand to Asia Pacific. With REVCOM consistently showing efficiency with its growth, as evident by its ARR higher than the total money raised, it’s clear that REVCOM is an innovation worth following.
