With the plethora of social channels available today, it’s more important than ever to keep your ear to the ground. If your business wants to succeed, it needs to understand what your audience is saying in real time.

Buzzilla is a social media monitoring and analysis company built to help businesses harness the vast opportunities presented by online conversation. Their solutions strive to continuously listen, evaluate, and analyze social media content, in order to expose new truths about consumers for their clients.

How much is Buzzilla doing in MRR?

Buzzilla provides both a SaaS product and professional services at this point in time. According to CEO Yoav Pridor, approximately 60% of the company’s revenue comes from their SaaS offering right now.

In a typical deal, Buzzilla is operating with an 80% margin on their SaaS revenue and roughly 40% margin on their professional services. The average customer pays the company around $500 per seat, per month, with the average enterprise deal ranging from 3 to 10 total seats.

Buzzilla has grown to serve almost 300 total customers today and is going around $400k in MRR right now. The business has grown 40% year over year, due in large part to their new strategic partnerships with governmental agencies, Pridor explained.

What is Buzzilla’s churn?

Buzzilla drives expansion revenue through upselling additional seats within organizations and has hit 110% net revenue retention annually. The company is also exhibiting 1.2% gross revenue churn per year.

To this point, a large portion of Buzzilla’s customer acquisition efforts have come through word of mouth and referrals. Pridor mentioned that company also spends around $2k each month on digital advertising. Overall, Buzzilla assumes a lifetime value of $65k over 42 months.

How much has Buzzilla raised?

Launched in 2010, Buzzilla has grown to scale with just $1.6M in total outside funding. Pridor explained that the company is not interested in raising additional capital at present state and has been profitable since raising their last round in 2012.

Buzzilla’s team of 25 full-time employees is based in Israel.
