Email and other text communication with your audience is everything in 2019. If you can’t provide engaging content to your customers on a consistent basis, you will loose in both the short and long-term.

Mailup Group is a vertically integrated player in the field of cloud marketing technologies. Its growing suite of data-driven solutions allows SMEs and large corporations globally to master the evolving ways of communicating with customers.

How much is Mailup Group doing in ARR?

Mailup Group is the parent company of six individual business units, all of which are pure-play SaaS entities that bill its clients on a subscription basis. While customers pay anywhere from $10 per month up to millions per year, the company’s average user pays approximately $150 per month at this point in time.

According to CEO Nazzareno Gorni, Mailup is currently serving 20k customers and is doing €35M in ARR today. The company has exhibited healthy growth in the last twelve months, growing revenue 35% year over year.

Why did Mailup Group go public?

Mailup Group launched in 2002 by self-funding with just €15k of its founder’s capital. The company grew to scale over time and decided to go public on the AIM market in 2014.

With €6M in ARR at that point in time, the company raised €3M in capital from the public markets to fuel acquisitions. Gorni explained the decision as a move to raise capital in a country, Italy, where venture capital was not prevalent.

What is Mailup Group’s CAC?

Customer acquisition cost varies widely for Mailup’s portfolio companies. Some products, such as BEEfree.io, have well-developed organic channels that drive acquisition low enough for immediate payback periods. On the whole, the company optimizes for payback within 6 to 7 months and is hitting that mark today.

Mailup Group’s team of 170 is headquartered in Italy and remotely distributed throughout the world.
