Brandlive is the leading live video platform for brands and retailers to interact with their audiences for training, marketing and commerce events. Their software helps integrate live video into custom websites and mobile apps, align employees and excite customers, and simulcast live broadcasts across various mediums.
How much is Brandlive doing in MRR?
Brandlive charges customers on an annual, upfront basis for access to their platform and marketplace of professional services catered specifically to video production. Customers pay them anywhere between $30k and $60k annually, with the average user generating roughly $30k in annual revenue.
In terms of SaaS customers, Brandlive serves 100 paying customers today and is doing north of $250k in MRR at this point in time. The company also generates north of $1M in annual revenue from professional services and non-recurring contracts, according to CEO Fritz Brumder. Overall, Brandlive is currently growing 70% year over year.
What is Brandlive’s churn?
In terms of gross revenue churn, Brandlive is close to the industry average of 10-20% right now. However, due to upsells on features, modules, and professional services, the company is close to 105% net revenue retention annually, Brumder shared.
Today, Brandlive pays approximately $1 in dollar-based CAC and receives payback in about 12 months, on a deferred revenue basis. With an LTV:CAC ratio north of 3, the company also assumes a lifetime value north of $90k.
How much has Brandlive raised?
Founded in late 2013 as a spin-out of another company, Brandlive raised $1.6M in a seed round and has raised $4.8M in total capital thus far. Brumder mentioned that the company is exploring potential consolidation opportunities and would look to raise $7M in a future round to fuel potential acquisitions and to grow their sales team.
