Brian is a proven business and technology leader with over 30 years of experience in building strong teams, innovative products and international businesses. He founded Purple Forge in 2008 and, as its CEO, bootstrapped the business based on revenue and achieved over $1 million in sales. Purple Forge received numerous international awards and recognition. He previously founded Liquid Computing in 2003 and as its CEO raised over $44 million in venture financing, built a world-class team, delivered an award winning product to market, and won international sales. Brian's business experience spans operations, sales and marketing, product management, project management, research and development, strategic partnerships and professional services. He has partnered with and sold to a wide range of customers including healthcare, government (all levels), service providers, software vendors, financial institutions and not for profits. Brian's technology experience spans IoT, artificial intelligence, mobile apps, SaaS, cloud computing, smart city, high performance computing, cybersecurity, multi-service ATM/IP/MPLS networking, optical networking, cellular networks, enterprise IT, and international telecom standards. Brian is the author of the best selling book "A Small Business Guide to Doing Big Business on the Internet". He was the 2007 winner of the OCRI "Next Generation Executive" award. Brian was a director on boards for several economic development organizations. Brian graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Engineering degree and has completed additional business certificate courses from leading educational institutions. Brian excels at solving complex challenges, working effectively with staff at all levels and delivering on commitments.
