Bio
Tad Martin is a seasoned executive experienced in managing the growth of internet companies from startup to mature organizations. Tad began his career in the online world in 1999 as one of the earliest employees of Gear.com, a sporting goods company backed by Amazon.com. Through an acquisition, Tad joined Overstock.com as one of its first 30 employees. For the next six years, Tad reported to Patrick Byrne, Overstock's CEO, and was part of the executive team in charge of managing the company, responsible specifically for all aspects of warehouse operations, customer care and product purchasing. During his tenure with Overstock, the company grew from roughly $70m in revenues to over $800m, and went from a private funded startup to a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ. Tad is a frequent speaker, and has been cited for his extensive experience by many publications including /The Wall Street Journal/,/ Internet Retailer/, /CRM/ and /CMO/ magazine. Tad was also a member of the nine person committee responsible for the successful bid to host the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2002. Tad earned is Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah and currently resides in New York, NY.
