How Dipolar Software grew Dipolar Software to $770K revenue with a 7 person team in 2025.
It was almost 20 years ago that a couple of software developers had the idea to found their own company to develop software for the nascent online survey market. They named it Dipolar – “two poles” – representing the two founders. While creating basic survey software is relatively easy, Dipolar quickly moved to focus on the most demanding users of Web Surveys – Market Researchers. We understand that changes in technologies and client expectations affect Market Researchers more than anyone. You need to keep up, or get in front, of these expectations – and technology plays a big role. Dipolar proudly considers itself a “boutique” supplier within the Market Research space. We aim to provide the level of personal service and problem resolution you’d expect from a smaller, more agile organisation, without any compromise on capacity or capability of the tools we provide. Being “boutique” doesn’t mean small. We have: - Over 6000 users - In over 140 countries - Who process millions of responses each year - And manage over half a million people in their panels and communities As an Australian company, we have had significant success in our home market, and we are well known in the local Market Research community. While our penetration of the local market continues unabated, it is overseas where our growth has exploded in the last few years. Recent expansion has included: - Web Survey Creator becoming the exclusive survey tool for a billion-dollar global market research company in 2012 - Release of a Japanese version of Web Survey Creator in June 2014. The first user is the largest CATI room operator in Japan. - The opening of our London office in March 2014, and the founding of our fully-owned UK subsidiary – “Web Creator Suite Ltd”.
