Gary Messiana, Chief Executive Officer, joined Mesh7 in October 2019. Mesh7 is a Cloud-Native Application Security Mesh for Layer 7+ company. Gary brings an extensive track record of leadership and success in software and hosted service solutions as well as a customer-centric philosophy, operational excellence and a wealth of management experienceto the company. Gary was CEO at Nominum from 2011-2017. Nominum provided DNS and security products to the enterprise and carrier industries and was acquired by Akamai, Inc in 2017. Starting in 2008, Gary was an entrepreneur-in-residence with Bessemer Venture Partners. Gary helped Bessemer Ventures with evaluating investments in the software and infrastructure as a service sector and advised multiple portfolio companies on product and go to market. Prior to Bessemer, Gary served as CEO of Netli, a content-and-application delivery network provider serving both the network operator and enterprise markets. Netli was sold to Akamai in 2007. Gary was also CEO at Diligent Software Systems, a strategic sourcing company that was sold to B2E Markets. Gary holds a BA degree from Binghamton University where he graduated with honors and serves on Nominum's board of directors.
