Tom Parkinson is an award-winning Chief Financial Officer who works with the company executive to ensure that strategic plans are funded appropriately, managed successfully, and delivered effectively. Tom believes that those who can, should. His mission is to use his financial expertise to help teams make a positive impact on global challenges. Tom is a big-four qualified accountant (EY), who has 11+ years cross-sector and inter-disciplinary experience including, innovative start-ups, private equity and investment banking. Tom is currently responsible for fundraising, financial control, and business support (inc. HR and Legal) for a growing company focused on tackling climate change and extreme energy poverty (www.steama.co). In his role, Tom has raised over $11m from equity and grant investors to help the company develop new products, enter new markets, and scale its UK operations. He was also a finalist of the ICAS "One Young CA", for 2018, and featured in ICAS's Top 35 CAs under 35, in 2017. Tom holds a BSc in Mathematics from Hatfield College, Durham University.
