A chartered accountant who trained at PwC Ireland, Sinead Fitzmaurice co-founded TransferMate, the Kilkenny-based B2B payments infrastructure provider, alongside Terry Clune and Barry Dowling. She joined the wider Taxback Group as Group CFO in 2005, served as TransferMate's CFO, and was appointed CEO in 2019, holding the role until 2025, when Gary Conroy succeeded her. She later became an operating partner at Aperture Capital, a Swiss venture firm focused on European fintech.
