AI & Machine Learning Operationalization (MLOps) Software
Capacity, founded in 2017 and headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is an AI-powered customer support automation platform that helps businesses handle inbound support across self-service, agent-assist, and campaign and scheduling workflows. The company has grown from $5 million in revenue in 2019 to approximately $43 million in 2024, completing eight to nine acquisitions along the way and raising just under $100 million in total funding. In December 2024, Capacity acquired You Can Book Me, a bootstrapped online scheduling tool that had reached $5 million in annual revenue over roughly 12 years. The deal, structured as 50% cash and 50% equity, brought one million bookings per month onto the Capacity platform and extended the company's reach into scheduling as the third pillar of its 24-step customer experience journey framework. CEO David Karandish, who previously founded Announce Media and led the acquisition and eventual sale of Answers.com for approximately $900 million to $960 million, retains just under one-third of Capacity's equity and maintains complete board control alongside his business partner. The company serves approximately 2,000 clients globally and has diversified away from an earlier concentration in the mortgage vertical, where it once derived 75% of its revenue.
