Ricardo co-founded AskMen.com, the largest men’s lifestyle site in the world, where he was President/CEO prior to its acquisition by IGN, and later Fox Interactive Media. In his role as SVP/GM he was responsible for leading & managing AskMen’s strategic direction & operations. He would later add a secondary role overseeing IGN International, based in London & Sydney, putting a total audience of 30 million monthly uniques under his purview. Post-acquisition, he helped AskMen triple in audience size, revenue & profits managing teams across editorial, sales, SEO, business development, marketing, & engineering. AskMen was a pioneer in native advertising, surpassing global audiences of 20 million readers a month with editions in the US, Canada, UK, Australia & others. AskMen was recognized by Time Magazine as a ‘Top 50 Site' & in 2014 won Digiday’s Design Of The Year for its redesign. Ricardo was also a contributor to AskMen’s content, interviewing famous faces such as David Beckham, Hugh Hefner & Kate Upton. In 2014, he co-founded SOT Ventures, extending his active role in angel funding & as a limited partner in iNovia Capital, Tandem Launch, Diagram, RPFL-Kensington PE, & Richardson Capital. Direct and indirectly he has invested in over 80 companies. In 2016, he co-founded & became CEO of 5th Wall Agency, a new creative agency focused on virtual reality & augmented that includes a roster of clients such as Universal Studios, Manulife, Twitter, CBRE, Warner Bros.
