Who made Crazy Cattle 3D, and when did it come out?
Who made Crazy Cattle 3D?
Crazy Cattle 3D (styled CrazyCattle3D on its official page) was made by a solo developer who publishes as anna (@4nn4t4t) on itch.io. In a May 2025 post the developer wrote: "i wouldn't exactly call myself a game developer." The game "was made over the course of a week with some support from my friends." No studio or company stands behind it. The developer is based in the UK.
When did it come out?
The game was released on itch.io on April 12, 2025, according to Know Your Meme, and the soundtrack carries the same release date. The developer had posted a gameplay clip on X four days earlier. Within days, memes about the game spread across TikTok and Instagram Reels; one TikTok clip passed 2.1 million views in two days.
What is it, and what does it cost?
It is a single-player battle royale: the player, as a sheep, knocks other sheep over until one is left. It is a download for Windows, macOS and Linux, priced "name your own price", so it can be downloaded free. There is no Steam release, and the developer lists no official browser or mobile version. On itch.io it holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 180 ratings. In May 2025 the developer said they did not expect to keep working on it.
Is crazycattle3d.com official? Is it safe?
It is not official. The itch.io page states: "No sites other than this itch.io site are official." The crazycattle3d.com domain was registered on April 14, 2025, two days after release. Another fan site, crazycattle3d.app, says in its footer that it "is not affiliated with any organization." The developer has written that people were "namesniping as many crazycattle(dot)whatever domains as they can and hosting sketchy versions of my game." The only download the developer distributes is the one on itch.io.
How much money has it made?
No figure has been published. The developer calls the game "donationware," has thanked one donor who gave $100, and turned down a browser-game site that offered to add rewarded ads. The itch.io page shows ratings but no download or payment totals.
