GroupFio had a total team of 40 people as of mid-2021, spread across three countries. The company also had 40 employees in December 2018, meaning headcount has been flat alongside revenue over that period.

Of the 40 team members, 15 are engineers. Two of those engineers are dedicated exclusively to creative and exploratory research and development work, including experimentation with Python, high-performance computing, large datasets, and open-source tools. The remaining engineers focus on feature development and architectural improvements, including a shift toward feature management workflows using GitHub. Srinivasan noted that a hypothetical future focused product would require only five engineers, and he indicated he may restructure the engineering team in the first quarter of 2022.
