A driven entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience in the software development field, David Semerad divides his time between Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Prague. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in information technology from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. He also studied at Technische Universitat Munchen in Germany and Universidad de Malaga in Spain and is a member of the Forbes Agency Council as well as the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC). David grew his mobile and digital app development company, STRV, from a small startup in 2004 to a thriving company with more than 150 employees servicing four offices on two continents. Serving top startups as well as Fortune 500 brands. In addition to leading STRV to become a top tier global technology innovation partner, David has spun off several companies. The Game, acquired by Spark Networks (NYSE: LOV) in 2014, followed by creating the world’s 3rd largest gay social network Surge (3M+ users) and one of the world’s fastest food delivery startups Ordr (average delivery time under 7 minutes). David’s work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Wired and TechCrunch. He is currently working on his latest venture, Kindest, which is changing the game for nonprofit fundraising by bringing modern marketing methods to the nonprofit space. By incorporating his technology background and success from STRV, Kindest is completely taking over the nonprofit market and already helping thousands of organizations raise more money. Passionate about startups and mobile technologies in general, David immediately scoops up the industry’s latest devices as soon as they hit the market in an effort to keep up with fast-evolving tech trends. He loves working with talented people. When he isn’t masterminding the next breakout app, he is an avid runner as well as a Barry’s bootcamp and Crossfit enthusiast and lover of EDM music. You might easily spot him skateboarding down the Venice Boardwalk on any given day, enjoying the beautiful southern California sunshine.
