From 1999 to 2010 I was employed as software consultant and project manager in different companies including Oracle, Tietoenator Alise, HP and Nordicbet In 2010 I made a change in my career and became a co-founder of tourism company Estonian Experience (later renamed to Nordic Experience). The company is providing private Tallinn tours, day trips to Estonia and cruise shore excursions in Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Riga, Gdansk, Amsterdam and Brugge. The objective of the company is to provide inspiring tours with entertaining and intelligent guides in all these destinations. My main focus is currently all the backoffice work (scheduling guides, buses, museum visits, restaurants + invoices, payments and legal) and developing IT systems to support the needs of the growing business. The company has enjoyed good growth since 2010 and I have again the possibility to do the thing I like most - to coordinate the development of multiple integrated systems (forecasting, order handling, websites, web and financial analytics, payments) with an eye on the overall traveler experience. In March 2020 Nordic Experience acquired majority ownership in travel company Like a Local Guide and I joined this company as CEO. Like a Local Guide is a global platform where travellers can find cool and cosy spots where locals like to spend their time. Travellers can also book authentic experiences from local tour companies.
