Founder / CEO

Roberto Loiola

​Born in Rome in 1965, graduated in Electronic Engineering at Padova University, married and father of three, Roberto Loiola is Sirti’s CEO. Roberto begins his career in 1991 in CSELT (Gruppo Telecom Italia) in Turin, being responsible for network quality and planning. In 1994 he joins Nokia to set up the company’s activities in Italy and then works for the start-up of Omnitel Pronto Italia (later Vodafone), where he eventually becomes head of customer service for South Europe. From 2000 he has had several managerial roles of increasing responsibility and, in 2004, he gets nominated Area VP for South Europe, and Global VP at Telecom Italia Group for Nokia Networks. In 2006, Roberto is Global Sales & Marketing Chief for BU Core Networks at the Helsinki branch of Nokia Networks. Later, he becomes the Southeast Europe region Chief for NSN (Nokia Siemens Networks). In 2010 he joins Huawei as Europe VP, which he leaves in 2014 to move on to Alcatel-Lucent Italy S.p.a. with the role of President and CEO, as well as Senior VP for South and Center Europe. With Nokia’s acquisition of Alcatel Lucent in 2015, Roberto returns to Nokia as Senior VP of Global Customer Unit and CEO in Italy.
