He developed two major communications companies,Hersant Group (from 1988 to 1992) where he was vice-administrator and manager of radio and newspapers, and RTL (from 1992 to 1998) where he was CEO in different media business units. In 1999, he created TV-radio.com / ComFm which broadcast different types of streamed media, and sold it to TDF in 2002. Since April 2003, Benoît SILLARD was Internet French gouvernement Delegate. His aim was to initiate the main government policy to promote Internet usage and fight against digital divide.
