The company started with essentially zero revenue in 2023, grew to low-six-figure ARR in 2024, and crossed seven figures in ARR at the end of 2025. String AI raised a seed round of $1 2 million approximately one year before the interview, with the capital still untouched as the company operates near break-even on its own cash flows. The ten-person team serves several dozen paying customers, primarily top hedge funds, and launched a public-facing product in 2026 to expand beyond that niche. Investors include Auren Hoffman (founder of LiveRamp and Safegraph), the founder of GLG, Zapier, and Charlie Songhurst.
