Bio
Alastair co-founded Tascent in February 2015 with a vision to transform the identity marketplace through the introduction of extremely usable, high-performance biometric products and services. This role has recently expanded to include technologies useful in tackling COVID-19. Prior to Tascent, Alastair worked at Accenture from 2002 to 2015, where he headed up the Unique Identity biometric technology group. He led the technical implementation of the world’s first end-to-end trusted-traveller proof-of-concept (the “miSense” trial at London Heathrow) and the first airport “eGate” production deployment (at London Stansted). Following an initial focus on Government clients, he subsequently worked to bring biometric technologies to customers in a wide variety of industry sectors, including resources, education, retail, and financial services.
