A co-founder of Fortanix, Anand Kashyap served as the confidential-computing company's CTO before taking over as CEO. The Santa Clara firm secures sensitive data and applications using hardware-based encryption technologies such as Intel SGX. Kashyap previously worked at VMware and was a researcher at Symantec Research Labs, where he filed more than 25 patents. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Stony Brook University and a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur.
