Bio
Born in Iran. Moved to Sweden with my family when I was 14. Started 3drops right after highschool when I was still in the refugee camp. Reason? I wasn’t allowed to continue my studies in university as a refugee because of lack of ID so I figured that would be the best use of my time. I was deported from Sweden for the first time at the age of 21. Reason? By the time The Swedish Migration Agency finally made a decision on our case, I was already over 18, meaning in the eyes of law, I was an adult and no longer dependent on the family to survive. I got 2 weeks to choose a country outside of Europe to get deported to. I chose Malaysia. I worked on growing 3drops remotely for 3 years (turned down offers from big companies like facebook to build my own company) and build a remote team working remotely with Fortune 500 companies and startups in Sillicon valley. Moved back to Sweden on Work permit, launched our internal project and team management app as a SaaS company called Roadmap (turned down offers from leading VCs like Index Ventures to stay independent and build a startup on our own terms, backed by our own customers). I got deported from Sweden again after living there for another 5 years. Reason: Missed an insurance for a few hundred dollors while my company, 3drops paid millions in taxes. Twist: A year ago, 3drops were hired by EQT/VFS to work directly with governments to design the new visa system for over 65 countries. So if you’ve applied for a visa lately, you’ve probably gone through our system. A bit long but hopefully worth the read. We can talk about this story on our call.
