After working as an aerospace engineer at BMW and Siemens, Helmut Schönenberger wrote his TUM MBA thesis on building a Stanford-style entrepreneurship center in Germany — and then did it, co-founding UnternehmerTUM in 2002 with entrepreneur Susanne Klatten as main shareholder.
