Bio

Joseph Lee is the co-founder of Supademo, an AI-powered interactive product demo platform launched in 2023. He started his first company, Freshline, at age nineteen while in his second year of university, building a predictive marketplace for seafood that connected fishermen and seafood companies to restaurants. Lee spent approximately six to seven years at Freshline, which raised about $2.6 million in total funding, before departing around 2022 at age twenty-six after voluntarily reverse-vesting roughly 30 40% of his equity stake. After leaving Freshline, Lee traveled and explored new opportunity spaces before co-founding Supademo with Kaushik, whom he met through Y Combinator's co-founder matching program. He describes Kaushik as highly product-minded, design-focused, and scrappy, qualities that became a superpower in the AI era. The two split equity 50/50, a decision Lee says he has no regrets about. Supademo reached $4M ARR by August 2026 with over 3,000 paying customers, 200,000 free users, and a 15-person team. The company raised $1M on a SAFE at a $6M cap in 2023, money Lee says he has never spent, and has been profitable nearly from its first year, running approximately 30% net margins and over 90% gross margins. Lee is active on LinkedIn (jhylee) and Twitter/X (@jhylee95).
