Hired's chief executive, Josh Brenner, arrived through Vettery, where he was appointed CEO in early 2020 and went on to lead the combined business after Vettery acquired Hired later that year and folded both under the Hired brand. Adecco had bought Vettery in 2018. Brenner earlier founded bTreated and held product roles at Nomi and SpaFinder Wellness, and studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
