Before starting Fly.io in 2017, Kurt Mackey co-founded two database-as-a-service companies — MongoHQ in 2009 and Compose — both of which were acquired, and he went through Y Combinator twice. As CEO of Fly.io he leads a cloud platform for running applications and databases in regions close to users around the world.
