CEO at Narrativedx

BIO

I solve problems and get things done. I grew up in Kansas and studied computer engineering, math and economics at Iowa State. I graduated in 2004 and moved to Austin, TX to work full time at National Instruments as a C++ Engineer on LabVIEW 8. In 2005, I enrolled at Boston College Law School. Upon passing the bar, I joined WilmerHale as an intellectual property attorney. I assisted on litigations for Intel, Cisco and Facebook, as well as the landmark cell phone wars as defense counsel for Apple. In 2011, I founded iCare. iCare was a response to the inefficiencies and delays associated with disaster relief, and was the first mobile platform to allow crowd-fundraising for charitable causes and disaster relief. I exited iCare in 2013 and took a sabbatical in Bali, Indonesia. I'm currently the Founder and CEO of NarrativeDx. We’ve developed a platform that collects comment data about patient care experiences – from focus groups, nurse rounding, patient satisfaction surveys, doctor review sites and social media. Our patented artificial intelligence engine analyzes it all, instantly, and provide actionable insights to improve patient satisfaction scores. Our clients love us and we're backed by leading VCs such as LiveOak Venture Partners, HealthX Ventures, Cultivation Capital, Silverton, Floodgate, Dragon Capital and Summation Health Ventures.
