Max Novendstern co-founded Worldcoin in 2019 alongside Sam Altman and Alex Blania and served as the iris-biometric cryptocurrency project's chief executive. He departed in 2021, though he continued advising the firm, and went on to start Mana, a venture pitched as an autonomous on-chain AI investor. Worldcoin, developed by Tools for Humanity, uses iris scans to verify that users are unique humans online.
