ChannelApe, an enterprise fulfillment and inventory platform for direct-to-consumer brands, was founded by Michael Averto, who led the New York-based company as CEO through its acquisition by Shopify in 2024. A Bloomsburg University graduate, Averto earlier started Otreva, a web and application development firm in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area. He now builds software products independently and writes about working with AI agents.
