Milton Chen

CEO at VSee Lab, Inc

BIO

During his doctoral studies at Stanford Univesity, Milton became fascinated with the psychology behind human computer interactions, which lead to his pioneering research showing why videoconferencing has failed to become ubiquitous despite billions in investments since 1927. This inspired him to found VSee Lab, Inc. so he could realize his vision of creating an easy-to-use video collaboration tool that would eliminate the need to commute to work. This dream has been successfully implemented within the VSee company, but even more, he wants to impact the rest of the world with the benefits of being able to instantly collaborate face-to-face with anyone in the world. Milton received the DEMO God award at DEMO 06, and is also the co-author of XMPP video standard. His insight into how to make videoconferencing an everyday experience has led to more than 100 invited talks in Iceland to Nigeria to Saudi Arabia, and the U.S. Congress. Milton received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a PhD from Stanford University.
