Amsterdam-based EVBox, a maker of charging stations for electric vehicles and related cloud services, appointed Remco Samuels interim CEO in May 2021 and later confirmed him as permanent chief executive. He previously worked at EY and held strategy and finance leadership roles at energy group ENGIE in the Netherlands, Brussels and Paris. Samuels was elected president of the industry association ChargeUp Europe in 2023 and re-elected in 2024.
