Chelsey’s business leadership experience spans numerous market segments, including specialty corrosion equipment, energy industry engineering consulting services, offshore wind energy materials manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Chelsey’s purpose is to bring to market products with unique intellectual property by leveraging her expertise in international business development, manufacturing process development, and leadership acumen. Drawing on her comprehensive experience across multiple industries, Chelsey excels in strategic planning, offering a powerful competencies-based approach to growth and expansion planning. Before joining Voran Group Ventures as Chief Executive Officer, Chelsey was the Director of Business Development for a globally ranked top ten engineering design firm. In the early part of her career, Chelsey was Vice President of a privately held company specialized in the manufacture of construction geosynthetics and automated coating application equipment. Chelsey’s specialized knowledge in the corrosion market was instrumental in developing and commercializing proprietary clean tech equipment for the oil and gas pipeline construction industry. Chelsey holds an MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the University of Alberta, a certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Chinese Europe International Business School in Shanghai, and is a Peer Member with the National Association of Corrosion Engineers. Chelsey has contributed her knowledge to the Canadian Standards Association and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers to develop international standards on anti-corrosion coatings. Chelsey has participated in several federal, and provincial advisory panels focused on Canada’s energy strategy and technology development policy. Chelsey volunteers her time as a business mentor with Futurpreneur, acts as Special Advisor to Corrosionpedia.com on their knowledge acquisition strategies, and serves a non-profit as Director for The Zug Foundation.
