Tatsuya Kato

Tatsuya Kato leads business development at Midokura, where he leverages his decades of experience with startups and technology, including extensive (human) networks in the Japanese IT industry. Tatsuya has a proven track record in top management positions at Japanese public IT service and mobile internet companies, as well as VC fund managementwith investments in internet and software sectors. He has served as committee member of multiple Japanese government organizations and several startups. He is a director of Royal Gate, Shift, Millmo, Movad Japan, and boox. Tatsuya graduated from Kyoto University with a major in Engineering. He played on the university’s football team as a part of two national championship teams.
