In 1992, Stansbury launched a trading company with the financial backing of McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems and the US Department of Commerce, staffing and directing operations in Mesa, Arizona, Yugo-Zapadnaya, Russia and Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. His interest in emerging technology and the impact of disruptive forces on global supply chains is surpassed only by his love of spending time with his wife and kids and occasionally finding time to hike really high mountains.
