iGenius was founded in 2016 by Uljan Sharka, a former consultant at Apple Inc. The company has offices in Milan, California, London and Switzerland. During the initial stage, it created crystal alpha which was presented at Cannes Lions Innovation. After a few months, a beta version was launched at the TechCrunch San Francisco. crystal is an AI advisor for data intelligence that makes business data accessible and plugs the data skills gap. It puts siloed and complex data into one conversational interface which helps to gather data-based insights via voice or data visualizations. These insights make advanced connections between data sources with the help of machine learning, and improves responses with advice and proactive notifications.
