Mr. Barrett has 28 years of management experience in high growth and turn-around from start-up companies to Fortune 500. He has been part of 2 IPO’s and 5 M&A’s. He has extensive experience in building and developing high performing teams for private equity and venture capital funded companies. He has defined success by delivering results and creating long term enterprise value by creating accountable cultures, consistent execution of repeatable plans and being a active leader. Mr. Barrett is currently the President and CEO of 7SIGNAL which is a venture funded enterprise software company providing Wi-Fi solutions globally. Prior to that he was a portfolio CEO for Brennan Management Group, a family office and private equity fund that owned and operated education businesses across the United States. He managed a collection of businesses with $130 million in revenue and 2,000 employees. He led the turnaround and sale of this organization over a five-year term. Prior to that he was the GM/Executive Director of Learn.com where he developed and led sales for the global knowledge exchange which provided more than 30,000 e-learning courses on the Learn.com learning management system that was integral in the sale of the entire company to Taleo which was then purchased by Oracle. Earlier in his career Mr. Barrett started the North American Sales organization for iPass, a leading global remote access provider, which grew from inception to $100 million in recurring annual sales during his tenure. In July of 2003, iPass completed one of the most successful IPOs of the year. Current board positions at family office, private equity and venture funded companies include 7SIGNAL and Navigate360/ALICE Training and the Wall Family Enterprise. Other board and executive positions include Brennan Management Group, Futures Academy, Young Presidents Organization (YPO), WebTeach.com, ToolingU.com and Monarch Teaching Technologies.
