Copper provides plug and play hardware that unlocks item-level transaction data in any POS environment and makes it available via a single API.
The Copper Cord is a smart cable that replaces the existing printer cable that connects a merchant's POS system to the receipt printer. In a matter of milliseconds, the Copper Cord parses the item-level transaction data in transit, sends it to the cloud, and injects a QR code at the bottom of the receipt that a server delivers to the table.
Customers don't need to download an app or even be aware of Copper when the receipt arrives at their table. Customers simply open the native camera function on their smartphone and scan the QR code. The Copper Checkout mobile web application opens immediately, presents customers with their receipt, and provides them with the option to either pay or split the check and tip their server using Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, or a debit/credit card.
