Clearviewsocial is a social media scheduling and amplification platform built for law firms, functioning as what its founder described as Hootsuite for lawyers. Founded in December 2013 in Utah, the company grew over eight years to more than $2 million in annual recurring revenue before being acquired by a family office in March 2021. At the time of sale, Clearviewsocial had approximately 180 customers, more than 60,000 users across 12 countries, and a team of 15 employees. The company had taken roughly $1 million in angel funding over its life, keeping capital consumption well below one times ARR. The acquisition was structured at 13 times projected 2021 EBITDA, with 70 percent of proceeds paid upfront and the remainder delivered through a two-year earn-out. Post-acquisition, the company reached $1 million in EBITDA within two years of the sale closing. Founder Adrian Dayton has since launched Scale to Sell, a consulting practice helping companies grow to and through their first exit.
