Ms. Barbara Reeder is CEO of DTC Corporation and President of DEFTEC Corporation. DEFTEC is an Economically Disadvantaged Certified Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). She is accountable for corporate results, R&D, Sales, Services, Marketing, HR and Operations. Ms. Reeder looks for opportunities to structure business to improve profitability, cash management, and revenue growth while exceeding customer expectations for service and product excellence. Ms. Reeder founded DEFTEC in December 2012, created the business structure and support systems in 2013 and was awarded DEFTEC’s first Prime Contract with the US Army in 2014. This 3-year $15M contract provided the cornerstone for DEFTEC’s future success. As a DoD contractor, she is a sought after subject matter expert in Electronic Warfare, Counter-IED, logistics, training, program management, knowledge management and technical documentation. Ms. Reeder is a member of Knowledge Management World and currently sits on the S1000D Sea Working Group facilitated by the Navy as well as the S1000D Land Working Group facilitated by the Army. In 2010, she was awarded the 2010 David Packard Excellence in Acquisition Award for her work with the Navy Program Management Ships 408. Ms. Reeder has quickly grown DEFTEC creating profitable global business in both the Government and the commercial high-tech sectors securing contracts with Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE). She has expanded DEFTEC’s global footprint to include a fully owned subsidiary, DEFTEC Europe (DTE), in Budapest, Hungary and a majority owned subsidiary, DEFTEC Technical Communications of India (DTI), in Bangalore, India. DEFTEC currently has a backlog of over $92M in contracts over the next 5 years. In 2012 Ms. Reeder joined an exclusive turn around management team headed by Mr. David LaChance and as the Chief Operating Officer for multiple companies including SEKTYR, CellBlox, NeuroVision, Illume Software and Infinity Technology. This team successfully turned around the operational and financial picture of this family of companies to create millions of dollars of returned equity to investors.
