Growth Breakdown
Revenue
Revenue: One year after launching, HyperProspect was billing six paying clients — four on a $510 per month plan and two on a $710 per month plan. Neeraj gave no revenue total of his own during the interview, and said his target was $10,000 per month.
Customers
Customers: The company had 6 paying clients at the time of the interview in mid-2021, including Canopy Management — the first customer, won through a LinkedIn campaign Neeraj ran himself — and Retail Data Partners, which he named as a later client.
Team
Neeraj is the sole full-time team member and owns 100% of the business. He uses a freelance developer for maintenance at $300 to $400 per month and said he was looking to hire a growth-focused team member with LinkedIn expertise.
Funding
HyperProspect is fully bootstrapped. Neeraj invested $100 of his own money at launch, which he spent on a LinkedIn Sales Navigator Premium subscription.
Growth Strategy
LinkedIn Cold Outreach
Neeraj builds targeted campaigns on LinkedIn, identifying prospects using Sales Navigator filters such as employee headcount and revenue, supplemented by Crunchbase. He sends personalized messages to prospects in relevant entrepreneur and industry groups to book discovery calls.
Positioning Around LinkedIn Account Safety
A core selling point is that founders risk getting their LinkedIn accounts banned when using automation tools incorrectly. HyperProspect manages this risk on behalf of clients, leveraging Neeraj's six years of LinkedIn automation experience.
Managed Service Model
Rather than selling a self-serve tool, HyperProspect manages clients' LinkedIn accounts directly. This removes the need for founders to learn automation software and protects their accounts from the bans Neeraj said come from using the tools incorrectly.
Delivering Measurable Lead Volume
Delivering Measurable Lead Volume: Neeraj tied retention to tangible results, saying clients kept paying because they were getting a steady flow of high-quality leads from LinkedIn each month. The volumes he cited varied from client to client and he gave no single monthly figure, telling Nathan it depends on product to product.
Best Quotes
“So it's just been like one year now. Last in 2020 in COVID, we launched this company in August. So the idea behind this was like, there are lots of LinkedIn automation tools right there. So what we're doing is like, we are handling accounts of founders to generate high quality leads for them.”
“Four are paying us $510 and other two people are paying us $710.”
“So I've been doing, LinkedIn automation for, like, six years now, and I think what happened like founder don't understand how to use automation softwares and they don't even have a time to use that. And at the same time, they don't want to put their LinkedIn account in risk.”
“So my main target is still getting to $10,000 per month. And right now someone said like, I'm not getting right now pain like to hire someone right now because I didn't find someone like who can be a good fit for me as like similar thinking mind.”
“It's so I just invested like $100 in starting.”
“So what we do is like, we create multiple campaigns. Like some people are having a group, like they have entrepreneur groups in like e commerce industry. So we reach out to them using LinkedIn and like send them personalized messages and talking about them and like how we know them. And how we can create an impact in their businesses. That's how they schedule the meeting and that's how we got our first client.”

Introduction and What HyperProspect Does
Nathan Latka
00:00Hey, folks. My guest today is Neeraj Negi. He's building a tool called hyperprospect.com, b to b lead generation through LinkedIn to create a consistent stream of opportunities. Neeraj, you ready to
Neeraj Negi
00:09>> take us to the top? Yeah. Sure. For sure. Thanks, Nathan, for having me in this show.
SaaS Tool or Agency Clarification
Nathan Latka
00:14You bet. So just to be clear, this a SaaS tool you've built, not a or is it an agency?
Neeraj Negi
00:20>> Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So we have in house tool, and so we like do b to b lead generation for businesses, for founders to generate leads, high quality leads. And we have this like in house API system or auto link automation tools.
Nathan Latka
00:38You got it. So again, my question so so it is a SaaS tool, not an agency. Is that correct?
Neeraj Negi
00:43>> Yeah.
Nathan Latka
00:44So is it agency?
Neeraj Negi
00:45>> Right. Yeah. And what
Pricing Plans
Nathan Latka
00:47do customers pay per month to use the tool?
Neeraj Negi
00:50>> Yeah. So we have two plans right now. One is like $510 and other is $710.
Nathan Latka
00:58Okay. So between 500 and $700 per month.
Neeraj Negi
01:01>> Yeah.
Company Launch Story and Founding in 2020
Nathan Latka
01:02And when did you launch the company? Tell me how got the idea.
Neeraj Negi
01:07>> So it's just been like one year now. Last in 2020 in COVID, we launched this company in August. So the idea behind this was like, there are lots of LinkedIn automation tools right there. So what we're doing is like, we are handling accounts of founders to generate high quality leads for them. So the pain point was like for them is they are not able to generate the leads and also for the security purpose they don't use
01:37>> a LinkedIn automation tools. That's the reason we started.
Customer Count and Revenue Breakdown
Nathan Latka
01:40And How many customers are you working with today?
Neeraj Negi
01:44>> I think ticket is really good and we are right now working with six clients right now.
Nathan Latka
01:49Okay. So six clients at 500 a month, you're doing about $3,000 a month in revenue?
Neeraj Negi
01:54>> Four are paying us $510 and other two people are paying us $710 So it's around like $304.04 like that. So
Team Structure and Solo Founder
Nathan Latka
02:04so about $4,000 per month. And and tell me more about your team. Is it just you or or you have co founders?
Neeraj Negi
02:10>> Yeah. So right now, I'm just a solo founder. And so lots of time if I just get more work, I just outsource those things.
Nathan Latka
02:19So you own 100% of the business?
Neeraj Negi
02:22>> Yeah, exactly.
How the First Customer Was Acquired
Nathan Latka
02:23Okay, very cool. How did you get the first customer? Tell me the story.
Neeraj Negi
02:27>> Okay, so it was from US and we got this client from Canopy management. We got this client from LinkedIn, through LinkedIn. So I do lots of lead generation through LinkedIn and reaching out to them, making a campaign over LinkedIn. And that's how we just book the meeting and go ahead with that.
Nathan Latka
02:47What's the name of the first customer?
Neeraj Negi
02:50>> Brian Johnson. He's a red Brian Johnson. He's a very well known in ecommerce industry. So his his company name is Canopy Management.
Nathan Latka
03:01Okay. So how did you reach out to him on LinkedIn specifically? How did you find him and how did you reach out?
LinkedIn Outreach Strategy and Targeting
Neeraj Negi
03:06>> So what we do is like, we create multiple campaigns. Like some people are having a group, like they have entrepreneur groups in like e commerce industry. So we reach out to them using LinkedIn and like send them personalized messages and talking about them and like how we know them. And how we can create an impact in their businesses. That's how they schedule the meeting and that's how we got our first client.
Nathan Latka
03:31But how did you identify him as a potential client for you? You must have been searching something. What were you searching for? What filters?
Neeraj Negi
03:38>> So I was searching, having like good, headcount, basically like more than 100 employees and having good revenue. So we do lots of, filters on sales navigator and different website to map on LinkedIn and get the clients.
Nathan Latka
03:54How do you know if they have good revenue? LinkedIn doesn't tell you the revenue data typically.
Neeraj Negi
03:58>> So they have a in sales navigator, they have filter. So you can just filter on this revenue.
Nathan Latka
04:08How accurate is that data? Where do they get that data from?
Lead Delivery and Customer Retention
Neeraj Negi
04:11>> So we not just only use sales navigator, we also use Crunchbase and other tools that can give us credit to value.
Nathan Latka
04:19I see. And when these folks start paying you $500 per month, do they stick? Has anyone signed up and canceled?
Neeraj Negi
04:26>> So there's an option there till now that's really good for us.
Nathan Latka
04:30Okay. And why are they paying every month? A lot of times these things have really high churn.
Neeraj Negi
04:36>> Yeah. So basically, they are getting really good amount of lead, like in thirty days, they're getting like 28 to 20 like that leads and that's high quality leads basically from LinkedIn.
Nathan Latka
04:49So you gave Brian Johnson one of your first customer last month, you got him 30 leads from LinkedIn.
Neeraj Negi
04:56>> This was another customer, retail data partners. So not the first one, they got like 10 to 15 leads. That's all.
Nathan Latka
05:05Got it. So you're only having to deliver like between ten and fifty leads for a customer to pay you 500 a month.
Neeraj Negi
05:12>> Yeah. Yeah. So it depends on product to product, basically.
Nathan Latka
05:16And why can't they do this themselves? Why can't they go use Sales Navigator and filter by employees?
Neeraj Negi
05:20>> Yeah.
Why Founders Cannot Do This Themselves
Neeraj Negi
05:21>> So this this is the main point. So I've been doing, LinkedIn automation for, like, six years now, and I think what happened like founder don't understand how to use automation softwares and they don't even have a time to use that. And at the same time, they don't want to put their LinkedIn account in risk. So there are lots of right now automation tools we're having, but they don't know how to use it correctly. That's the reason.
LinkedIn Automation Tools and Account Risk
Nathan Latka
05:45What do you think right now is the most dangerous LinkedIn automation tool where a lot of people are using it, it's illegal and everyone's risking their account? So
Neeraj Negi
05:53>> it's not like that. So what happens like there are lots of changes are going to happen like, and obviously in previously, like in February, LinkedIn changes some and like how many people you can search, how many people you can connect with like 100 people per week like that. So they always change some strategies and algorithm. So these things founders doesn't know about it, like they don't know and they are risking their account when using these automation
06:17>> tools. So they don't know exactly how to use these tools. So that's how
Nathan Latka
06:21Name one or two of those tools.
Neeraj Negi
06:26>> So
06:28>> there are a couple of tools like LinkedIn helper and Lenovo. There's so many.
Nathan Latka
06:35Is Dux-Soup?
Neeraj Negi
06:36>> Dux-Soup is very yeah.
Nathan Latka
06:38Are are they legit?
Neeraj Negi
06:40>> So now I think people are using expanding. They say like, Stefan from Expandi. So they say they are civil tool. I think they're really cool. But at the same time, if people don't know how to use it, how many connection requests you want to send, how many people you want to follow and there are lots of things. So you can risk your account, getting banned from LinkedIn.
Nathan Latka
07:03So you're saying Expandi and duck soup, they're fine tools, but if you use them wrong, you can get banned.
Neeraj Negi
07:08>> Yeah, exactly. And that's founders doesn't know about how to use that tool.
Bootstrapped from Zero
Nathan Latka
07:13And that's why they pay you. Exactly. I see. Okay, very cool. Now have you bootstrapped this or did you raise capital?
Neeraj Negi
07:19>> Yeah. So it's totally bootstrapped from zero to like 4 k. Yeah, That's exciting.
Nathan Latka
07:24How much of your own money have you invested?
Neeraj Negi
07:27>> It's so I just invested like $100 in starting.
Nathan Latka
07:32What did you spend it on?
Neeraj Negi
07:34>> That's just for, I think, LinkedIn Sales Navigator Premium.
Nathan Latka
07:39Nice. How'd you pick the domain name?
Neeraj Negi
07:42>> GoDaddy. From GoDaddy.
07:44>> GoDaddy. There you go.
Nathan Latka
07:45Very cool. Alright. Anything else? What's the next product? Are you are you planning to hire anyone or raise capital or what? You guys stay bootstrapped?
Growth Goals and Hiring Plans
Neeraj Negi
07:52>> So my main target is still getting to $10,000 per month. And right now someone said like, I'm not getting right now pain like to hire someone right now because I didn't find someone like who can be a good fit for me as like similar thinking mind. So I'm still looking for someone who can be join the team and take a head.
Nathan Latka
08:14What do you hope that they'll do? Like, are you looking for a technical developer or a salesperson?
Neeraj Negi
08:19>> So we have a developer like freelancer basically right now, but I'm looking for someone like who are growth hackers and they can, they are really good in like LinkedIn. They're using LinkedIn.
Nathan Latka
08:30How much do you pay your, your engineering, like your growth hacker?
Neeraj Negi
08:35>> Right now we pay them like $300 to $400 per month for just maintenance and everything.
Famous Five Rapid Fire
Nathan Latka
08:42Oh, wow. Okay. So super low cost. Very cool. All right, Neeraj, let's wrap up here with the famous five. Number one, what's your favorite book?
