Eyeware

Martigny, Valais, Switzerland

Eyeware develops platform-independent head and eye tracking software for webcams and 3D sensors using patent-pending computer vision algorithms and machine perception AI technology. We are proving that hardware is no longer a barrier to entry for companies creating head- and eye-tracking applications for gaming, research, and accessibility industries. Past iterations of eye-tracking technology involved hardware-based solutions that are too expensive for widespread adoption, or integrated webcam-based solutions that are not reliable. As an emerging deep tech provider of platform-independent human perception AI for webcams and 3D cameras, we bypass the need for specialized hardware so that companies can integrate reliable and cost-effective head- and eye-tracking technology into consumer applications. We released our first consumer application using this proprietary head- and eye technology with the free Eyeware Beam beta app. The iOS app turns a face ID-supported iPhone or iPad, with a built-in TrueDepth camera, into a reliable, precise, multi-purpose six degrees of freedom (6DoF) head- and eye-tracking device. Gamers use the iOS app to control the in-game camera with their real-life head movements. Streamers use the app’s eye tracker gaze bubble overlay to accurately show where they are looking on the screen in Twitch live streams, which drives home the idea of how ripe our tracking technology is for widespread adoption. The Eyeware Beam software development kit (SDK) provides third-party developers and independent software vendors with a subscription to develop their head- and eye- tracking-enabled PC solutions with access to tracking data in real-time. Similarly, our hardware-agnostic technology GazeSense™ 3D eye tracking uses off-the-shelf depth-sensing cameras to provide real-time gaze coding with no need for wearable tracking devices like glasses. 3D eye tracking detects multiple subjects and attention towards 3D objects in the open space.
