Sanjay Gala

CEO

Sanjay Gala spearheads SMARTe Inc., as the Founder and CEO, is his second venture as an entrepreneur. A Sales and Marketing industry veteran, Sanjay’s passion for innovation drove him to bootstrap SMARTe. Initial forays into software programming helped him explore the limitless realms of technology. He started SMARTe where he deployed software solutions to automate sales and marketing data management and provide operational excellence embedding state-of-the-art technologies, research expertise and best practices. Today, he knows this industry in and out, and recognizes the strategic impact it has on businesses and organizations. Before founding SMARTe, Sanjay was VP at Verticalnet, where he managed the Western Region Sales. This stint was a follow-up to a successful entrepreneurial venture at an Enterprise Software start-up company, Zycus Inc. As the Cofounder and Executive VP at Zycus, Sanjay built and managed field sales, business development and marketing operations. He was instrumental in building a profitable company and grooming it to a 125 people strong company before moving on. Earlier in his career, Sanjay has worked in several Networking and Semiconductor start-ups. Sanjay holds a MBA degree from Golden Gate University, San Francisco and a Masters in Science from OSU, Stillwater.
