John Czupak

A senior technology executive with extensive experience in all aspects of building a start-up business, as well as executing on IPO’s and managing those businesses longer term. This includes building and managing domestic and international sales organizations, go-to market plans and business development partnerships. He have held SVP level jobs running Sales and Business Development Operations, Corporate Development and Investor Relations, and as a General Manager running an Advanced Malware Protection business unit as an incubated start-up. He have been a senior executive in multiple companies that have resulted in successful liquidity events. His first company achieved an IPO within 18 months of the company launch (NASDAQ: AXNT), eventually selling to Symantec (NASDAQ:SYMC). The second and third were acquired by and integrated into larger, publicly traded companies -Riverbed Technologies acquired by Aether Systems (NASDAQ:AETH); Mountainwave acquired by Symantec. He was employee # 30 +/- at Sourcefire in 2002, which subsequently IPO’d in March 2007 (NASDAQ: FIRE). He subsequently led the Corporate Development activities at Sourcefire and engineered an acquisition by Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO) in October 2013 for $2.7 billion (3rd largest pure play cyber security acquisition ever).
