Frank Droogsma began building TOPdesk in 1993 with co-founder Wolter Smit in an attic in Delft, while both were working as developers at IT services firm OGD; TOPdesk became an independent company in 1997. The Dutch firm develops service management software used by IT support and facilities teams. Droogsma studied mechanical engineering at Delft University of Technology.
