Jamie Montgomery is the Founder and Managing Partner of March Capital. Since its inception in 2013 March Capital has emerged as one of the leading private technology investment firms in N. America. Jamies strategy is to invest in disruptive technologies and business models addressing major market opportunities and societal needs. He will typically enter in the Series A B or C round and over time build larger positions. His investments at March Capital include CrowdStrike NASDAQ CRWD ASAPP Forter Earnin FogHorn and Descartes Labs. March Capital is backed by a select group of family offices and institutions from around the world. The core hypothesis is that returns are coming from private investments in the innovation economy. Jamie believes there is no better sector to focus on than disruptive next-generation software companies. With this simple and clear strategy Jamie and March Capital have delivered outsized returns in March Capital I and March Capital II for their investors. Jamie started March Capital in 2013 after the culmination of a career advising financing and mentoring entrepreneurs at the Investment Bank he founded Montgomery Co. At Montgomery Co he advised over 500 companies financed over 200 companies and took approximately 40 companies public. Jamie will be hosting the 18th Annual Montgomery Summit on March 3-4 2021. Jamie has provided leadership to a series of philanthropic causes. He is currently Chair of The Campaign for St. Matthews and Vice-Chair of The Campaign for UCSD. He has served in voluntary leadership and board positions at UC San Diego Claremont McKenna Chapman University Stanford University Brentwood School Westmark School Boy Scouts of America California Science Center and a range of other not for profit organizations.
