JT is founder and CEO of Hudson MX as well as a Partner with LUMA Capital Partners, which he launched in 2016 following his stint as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Greylock Partners and Accel Partners. In this role, JT advised Greylock and Accel portfolio companies on go-to-market and operational strategy, while assisting in evaluation of new investments. Mr. Batson served in 2013-2014 as the Chief Revenue Officer of Cumulus Media, the second largest owner/operator of radio stations in the US and best known as the owner of Westwood One. Prior he was President of Digital for Donovan Data Systems, where he was instrumental in the company’s merger with Mediabank to create the advertising technology powerhouse Mediaocean (2010-2012). Today, Mediaocean facilitates more than $100 billion in global ad spend for all six major ad holding companies and was sold to Vista Partners in 2015 for ~$750 million.. While there, JT also led the creation and early roll-out of the now de facto industry standard digital media management platform. From 2007-2010, JT was the EVP of Revenue and Global Development at the now public Rubicon Project (RUBI), which was an early pioneer in the era of programmatic media.
