Joseph Sforzo
Mr. Sforzo is the founder of CertFocus and remains as President and CEO. As founder, Joe implanted many of the core values of the company that remain today. Creating an environment for the most talented staff, CertFocus is now recognized as an industry innovator and continues to push the value delivery of its systems and services. In 1999, Mr. Sforzo developed a patented web-based secure process for executing surety bonds, Surety2000, which is used on a daily basis by virtually every major firm in the industry, including both brokerages and sureties. Within the business plan for Surety2000 was CertFocus, which is now the world's leading Certificate of Insurance management and vendor compliance improvement system. Joe is a guest speaker at many industry functions and in addition, he is a quarterly guest speaker at Columbia University’s Construction Management and Engineering Program. Joe is a graduate of Hofstra University holding a BBA in Finance.
